Paolo Pappalepore

Business Integration Director

Paolo Pappalepore was born in Rho, near Milan, in 1968.
 
He graduated in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1994, having worked during his studies as a consultant in the areas of industrial plant and equipment, market research and telecommunications.
 
Pappalepore began his professional career at Deutsche Bank in the position of Functional Analyst, gaining considerable experience in the United States at Computer Science Corporation as reference person for the newly acquired card management platform. Upon returning to Italy, he took on the role of Team Leader and subsequently Head of  “co-branded” products and Account Manager FIAT.
 
From 2000 to 2001, Pappalepore worked at ATM, Milan’s public transport company, as Project Manager focusing on the electronic ticketing program.
 
In 2001, he joined SSB becoming Program Manager working on major international e-money projects.
 
In 2004, having contributed to the creation of SiNSYS, Pappalepore took on the position of Head of the Acquiring Competence Centre in Brussels, overseeing the implementation of the new acquiring platform and the migration of subscriber merchants from banks in five countries. In 2008, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company.
 
Following the incorporation of SiNSYS into SIA in May 2013, Pappalepore became Head of Corporate Systems, with responsibility for internal IT projects, corporate applications and architectures.
 
In March 2014, he was appointed Head of the Acquiring service line and joined the Board of subsidiary SIA Central Europe, becoming its Chairman in July 2015.
 
As of January 2017, Pappalepore has been Director of the new Group Integration Management office, with responsibility for defining and implementing synergies within SIA Group.
