Dispute & Chargeback management

DCMS (Dispute and Chargeback Management System) is the solution offered by SIA as an additional service for management of claims initiated on the Issuing side.

DCMS provides to the Issuer a single interface tool to handle all types of exceptions, allowing to reduce the operational costs, to ensure a close  financial control, to relieve users from repetitive and time-consuming tasks thanks to automated processes allowing them to focus on decision taking. It is based on the integration of Clear2Pay CBK with CAMS II.

DCMS provides to the Issuer a single interface tool to handle all types of exceptions, allowing to reduce the operational costs, to ensure a close  financial control, to relieve users from repetitive and time-consuming tasks thanks to automated processes allowing them to focus on decision taking.

DCMS main functionalities include:

  • full history of each claim: all details related to the disputed transaction including incoming and outgoing items, letters, all operational, financial and accounting actions performed; 
  • case schedules and reminders on expiration dates
  • automatic actions generation like: creation of a first CB in case no documentation is received after a RR, automatic closure of a claim with transfer of residual value to a designated account, visualization of open claims for which actions are due, automatic write-off, automatic CB for expired card, fraud, late presentment, etc.
  • letters management: Client, merchant, good faith, collection 
  • exhibit documentation
  • fraud reporting (TC40 for Visa and Safe for MasterCard)
  • business rules automation, based on sets of configurable conditions
  • dynamic reporting: a user-friendly embedded tool with a Microsoft look&feel;
  • workload management: each user is linked to one or more “team”. Claims are assigned to the different teams based on assigned priviledge; the case owner can be reassigned to handle urgencies.
  • automatic and user’s actions traceability 
  • general ledger files generation.

DCMS supports multiple-brands (Visa, MasterCard, private labels), multiple currencies, multiple languages, multiple ICA and multiple Bins. Manages disputes on International, National and local (on-us) transactions.
