MyBank is a Pan-European solution from PRETA SAS (a wholly owned subsidiary of EBA Clearing) that facilitates the supply of e-services by financial institutions, in particular with reference to e-commerce payments using SEPA Credit Transfer and SEPA Direct Debit tools.
The infrastructure that transmits authorisations relating to e-commerce payments is also used to transmit e-mandates associated with SEPA Direct Debit and, in future, for e-identity services.
The solution is based on online authorisation processes in the “4-corner” model and involves the consumer, the retailer and the respective financial institutions, as well as PRETA SAS which manages the centralised directory in which participants are registered.
